Why Bhutan?
For Glenn, Bhutan is much more than a travel destination. Over three decades of exploring the Kingdom, he has developed a deep appreciation of its landscapes, culture and people, building friendships and working relationships that continue today.
His travels have taken him through the great Himalayan trekking regions of Chomolhari, Laya and Lunana, the central valleys of Bumthang and Haa, the remote eastern communities of Merak and Sakteng, and the subtropical forests of southern Bhutan. From remote mountain trails to journeys by bicycle and motorcycle, this firsthand experience provides an understanding of Bhutan that goes far beyond the usual tourist routes.

Every journey begins with a conversation. Whether this is your first visit to Bhutan or you are considering something more adventurous, we are happy to arrange a call, discuss your ideas, answer your questions and help you understand what is possible.
Your booking
Once we have identified the right journey, you book directly with the Bhutanese travel operator responsible for organising and delivering your trip.
GR Travel Consultancy provides independent advice and introductions. We do not act as the tour operator or package international flights with your holiday. Our role is to help you make informed choices and connect you with experienced, reliable local partners.
We stay with you
Our involvement does not necessarily end when you book. We remain available to answer questions and offer advice as you prepare for your journey.
Travel in remote regions does not always go according to plan. With more than 30 years of experience in adventure travel, Glenn understands the challenges that can arise. Where necessary, we will do everything reasonably possible to assist and liaise with your local operator.
Our fee
Our consultancy fees are simple and transparent. The typical fee is approximately 10% of the value of your land arrangements. Any consultancy fee will be clearly explained and agreed with you before chargeable work begins.
